Super Bowl Party Quick Tips

Every year fans claim it – “the Eagles are going all the way” – in spite of jeers from haters. Yet to the dismay of the nay-sayers, the Eagles are actually headed to the Super Bowl! This will be their third trip to the the Big Game, perhaps erasing their underdog history? Never! Philly loves an underdog, and a win won’t take that away.

Philly also loves a celebration, so before the festivities spill to the street in honor of the win (claiming it!) there will be many a household hosting Super Bowl watch parties. Don’t host that party if you’re not prepared. Few forgive mishaps during celebrated televised events such as this.

Here are some quick things to keep in mind to remain in the good graces of your family and friends:

  • Snacks
The best Super Bowl party snacks tend to be classic finger foods, with a twist. Sliders, wings, dips, and meatballs. Here’s a pretty good list featuring some upgrades to classic recipes. I’ve decided to share one of our favorite family Super Bowl recipes – Slow Cooker (Super Bowl) Buffalo Chicken Meatballs – check it out below.
  • TV
When considering where to watch the Super Bowl, people tend to gravitate towards homes (or bars) with good TVs (read: large ones). Before you host, please ask yourself if your TV can support the sound and size requirements of such a raucous event. If it can’t, then you might have to make a larger investment in your event than anticipated OR let someone else host.

That’s it.

I said it’d be quick. It’s football. People simply want to be able to eat and watch the game. Here’s a bonus tip: make sure there’s enough seating – we can help you there, we’re good neighbors.
